【Industrial Waste Reduction】
  The major waste of UMCJ is the waste acid, waste alkali, waste oil, and sludge, etc. The waste from the manufacturing process is classified as much as possible, executes it at in-house effective use, promote waste reduction by treatment and promote recycling in cooperation with the industrial waste disposal consignment companies.
　 　 　　　


【Kitchen Refuse Disposal Equipment】
  In the past, the kitchen refuses (leftovers…etc.) generated by our Canteen, where our employees are using every day, are disposed by the way of incineration, which is the same way as we dispose the general garbage generated from our office. However, since the end of year 2004, UMCJ has introduced a Kitchen Refuse Disposal Equipment and has started to place our effort on recycling almost all of our kitchen refuses into fertilizer.

  In UMCJ, Zero Emission, defined as “under 1% of industrial waste discharged from our plant is finally disposed by the way of landfill.” has continuously been achieved since the target was first achieved in year 2003.
