Global Warming

yGlobal Warming Measuresz
The effectiveness of Kyoto Protocol from February 16, 2005 as Global Warming Measures has become a serious problem. As a commitment to the world, the target of Japan is to reduce the emissions of Greenhouse Effect Gases by 6%.
@UMCJ considers Global Warming Measures as one of the important matters and is devoting effort on energy conservation to reduce the usage of electricity power and fuel oil and also to reduce the usage of semiconductor process gases (PFC).

yEnergy Saving Activitiesz
For the reduction of carbon dioxide (CO2) emissions in UMCJ, working to the energy-conservation by introduce a refrigerator in energy efficiency and an inverter for facilities equipment, etc.
And we are based on the daily management to promote energy conservation activities, the facilities equipment such as the refrigerators, boilers, and compressors.

yPFC Gases Reductionz
In semiconductor manufacturing process Greenhouse Effect Gases (PFC) are used as a reactive chamber cleaning gas. Alternatives of gases into the lower Global Warming coefficient gases (e.g. from C2F6 to C3F8), measures such as introduce an equipment to disintegrate the process gases before they have been emitted to the atmosphere...etc. are under progressing to reduce PFC gas emissions.
